Dochly was built by Salesforce experts who were tired of document tools that claimed to be "Salesforce native" while quietly sending your data to external servers. So we built one that actually is.
When we started Dochly, the Salesforce document generation market was full of tools that required you to send your most sensitive Salesforce data — customer records, deal values, employee information — to external servers just to generate a PDF.
We thought that was wrong. Your data lives in Salesforce for a reason. It is the most secure, governed, auditable platform your organisation has. Why would any document tool need to send it somewhere else?
So we built Dochly — the only Salesforce document generation app that is built 100% natively inside Salesforce. Every document generated, signed and stored entirely within your org. Zero data ever leaves. Guaranteed.
The idea for Dochly started with a problem we kept running into as Salesforce consultants. Every enterprise client we worked with had the same conversation with their IT security team when implementing a document generation tool.
The security team would ask: "Does this tool send our Salesforce data to external servers to generate documents?" The answer was always yes. The security team would block it. The project would stall. Months of procurement delays. Extensive security reviews. And at the end of it, a document tool that still sent data outside the org every time a PDF was generated.
We saw this happen enough times that we decided to build the tool that should have existed from the beginning. A document generation app built entirely inside Salesforce — using only Salesforce infrastructure, Salesforce security and Salesforce storage. No external servers. No API connections out. No data leaving the org.
"We kept asking ourselves — why does generating a document from Salesforce require your data to leave Salesforce? It makes no sense. So we built the tool that keeps it inside."
Dochly launched on Salesforce AppExchange with one promise — your data never leaves your Salesforce org. Not during document generation. Not during e-signature. Not during storage. Not ever. That promise is built into our architecture, not bolted on as a feature. It is what Dochly is.
From how we build our product to how we price it — these are the principles we do not compromise on.
Every Dochly team member has spent years working with Salesforce — as admins, consultants, developers and architects. We built the tool we always wished existed.
Every architectural decision at Dochly comes back to one question — does this keep data inside Salesforce? Here is how we do it.
